To the Editor:
What will Millbrook do without its Department Store? There has been a department store in that location for the past 100 years. The same owner has owned it now for the past 16 years. But as rents go up stores are leaving town. What will my grandchildren do when they come to visit and we find they have forgotten their mittens, or their boots? The 5 minute drive to the Millbrook Department Store always made for an easy solution. There are so many stores going out of business or moving that soon a walk down Franklin Avenue will feel like a walk through real estate row.
